My name
is Jona Malo. My wife Sara and I began our custom stonework business, Rocky Mountain Hardscape
in 2001. We were introduced to the application of stone in the landscape while working in the full service landscape
industry. Those years allowed us to educate ourselves about the form, function, historical application and cultural significance
of stone. We wanted to be able to provide a level of quality in stone work and hardscape which was not available
through full service contractors or most conventional masons. After several years of research and training
we broke away from the full service landscape industry in order to provide our clientele with unique, high
quality stone installations. We strive to develop our own style while always applying time tested rules for the
installation of dry set stone projects. We have never been willing to compromise the integrity of our installations
to achieve higher production rates or to trim cost. Through the years we have learned the unecessary cost
to clients of poorly constructed stone installations during reconstruction of projects installed by others.
